What:

Please join Rootles® - Quests for the Curious and The City of Fort Collins on Sunday June 28th for a biking treasure quest. The first ten teams of up to 5 participants who register will find themselves solving clues that may involve various kinds of puzzles, ciphers or manipulated images while exploring Fort Collins biking locations. Each team member (or their parent/guardian) must sign, and provide to the Quest organizers, a waiver prior to their participation. Additionally, each team member must wear a bycicle helmet.

Where:

Participants will meet for instructions and the start of the hunt behind Lee's Cyclery at Mason and Laurel. From there teams will be asked to navigate the bike routes of Fort Collins on their way to a final common destination. Clues for the hunt will be hidden at bikable locations all around the city. After coming together at the location of the final clue, participants will have the opportunity to meet, relax and get to know their competitors.

When:

Sunday, June 28th - The hunt will start at about 8:30am, and take approximately 4 hours.

How:

Everyone will be provided with detailed instructions when we meet to start the hunt. Be advised that the hunt will require that you bike 25-35 miles around Fort Collins, so water, snacks, sunscreen, biking knowledge and comfortable clothing is recommended for all participants.

Why:

If you’ve ever participated in a treasure hunt, then you likely remember how much fun it is to puzzle out where you’ll find your next clue, while if you've never had the pleasure of going on a treasure hunt, then this is a perfect opportunity to experience an absolutely great way to explore your surroundings!

Please:

We ask that you bring your sense of adventure, an open mind, and your clearest thinking skills, as we’ll provide the rest. Pens and paper will be available, along with other materials needed to solve the clues.

RSVP:

It would be much appreciated if you could provide us with the names of each person who is going to attend. Please email Rootles®. The hunt is available on a first come first served basis determined by the time stamp on your email so respond quickly to secure your team's place. If you have any questions about the hunt, you can direct them to the same address, or contact us by phone at 970-484-9034.

Waiver:

Anyone participating in the FC Bike Quest must fill out and sign this waiver before they will be allowed to join the hunt. Any minors must have the second page completed and signed by their parent or guardian.

We look forward to seeing you on the 28th!
